Recent events at the Friends of Amateur Rocketry site that have appeared in posts and videos on social media and emails sent to us from our members have come to the attention of the Tripoli Board of Directors.
After deliberation, the Board feels that the rocketry safety practices and procedures depicted in those posts and videos taken at the Friends of Amateur Rocketry site differ so much from the culture we hope to ingrain in our members through the Tripoli Unified Safety Code that it would be contrary to our mission to encourage our members to fly rockets at the Friends of Amateur Rocketry site.
Effective immediately, the Tripoli Board of Directors has unanimously decided that Tripoli insurance will not be in effect at the Friends of Amateur Rocketry site. A statement to this effect will be published in the Tripoli Report.
