WELD events are 2-day launches conducted under Tripoli Research Rules; participation is limited to Tripoli Members or their invited guests. Well-behaved spectators welcome.

* This schedule is as firm as it can be made, given that we are flying on farm land and must adapt our use of this property to the requirements of the farmers who own and work this land.

The field is the vast Paul/Hunnings farm near Bayboro, North Carolina with more than 3,800 acres of empty, treeless farm land. The FAA waiver is 16,000 feet, which we will limit to 12,000 feet for homemade motor flights without documentation for the same rocket with similar, characterized propellants.

Lodging for October and November of 2008 will be at the Economy Inn in New Bern, NC. 252-638-8166, ask for the Rocket Club Discount. Runs around $85 a night for two double beds.
