This year four members have submitted their names to run for the Tripoli Board of Directors.  Current BOD members Terry McCreary and Stu Barrett, are seeking to retain their board seats and are challenged by veteran candidate David Wilkins and newcomer Bob Brown.   Three positions must be filled and I wish all the candidates good luck.

It is also time to give huge thanks to Ken Good who has been fighting the good fight for Tripoli since he tested BOD waters back in 1999.  Ken served from 99 – 01 as Secretary, 02 & 04 as Vice President, 03, 05 – 09 as President.  Ken thank you for your many years of dedication and service to the Tripoli membership.  TRA is what it is today in good part to your leadership and success working with the many dedicated board members through the years.

Now it is time for you the membership to review these resumes and decide on which candidates will best represent your interests.  Decide who would be the most effective in dealing with the duties of conducting Tripoli business.  Take the time to reflect on their resumes and talk it over with fellow members at your next launch.  Call or E-Mail the candidates and ask them your questions.  It is your opportunity to voice your opinion and influence the leadership of Tripoli.  This will also mark the third year in a row that our list of BOD candidates reflect our global membership.   A whole new evolution of Tripoli BOD is just around the corner, signs of our shrinking world and common interests.  Take the time to VOTE.  Get involved with these international elections and as always, stay active in your local prefect.    Good luck Candidates.

-Guy Soucy, Election Committee Chairman
